A look at some of the more popular subtle energy healing practices -- from Reiki to Therapeutic Touch.

Whether you can feel your own subtle energy or not, you can find someone who does. An energy healing session can make you feel more relaxed than a massage and the effects can last for several days. A highly trained practitioner can support you through a deep transformation. When you are in balance, you can heal more quickly and everything in your life can go more smoothly. You can have greater insight and clarity about your path, as well. Here are some popular systems of subtle energy healing.
Acupuncture is probably the most popular form of traditional Chinese practice used today in the West, but has been an integral part of Eastern medicine for thousands of years. Illness, it is believed, is the result of an imbalance in the flow of chi through the body's pathways, or meridians, which correspond to specific organs and functions. Through the precise insertion of needles, acupuncture attempts to correct this flow of energy and restore balance to the body. See also: American Academy of Medical Acupuncture
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) which means Universal Life Energy in Japanese, was developed in the 19th century by a spiritual seeker who pored over Sanskrit and Buddhist documents for the secrets of healing and emerged with the Reiki symbols used today. The technique itself involves hands-on energy healing. The healer must be initiated into Reiki energy. Initiation can happen in a single weekend for first level and a second two weekends for second level. Reiki masters are usually deemed "masters" after a year of study and supervision. Chi Gong is an ancient Chinese system for balancing subtle energy. Chi Gong masters are usually trained over a long period of time, and are required to practice chi gong exercises to build up their internal chi. Jin Shin Jyutsu employs twenty-six "safety energy locks" along energy pathways that feed life into our bodies. When one or more of the paths becomes blocked, the resulting stagnation can disrupt the local area and eventually disharmonize the complete path of energy flow. Chakra Healing. Many different American schools of healing use the chakras to balance and charge the energy field. True chakra healing involves a detailed understanding of subtle energy anatomy and a healer who has done a lot of deep inner work. Top schools with listings or referral services for healers include the Healing Light Center Church and the Barbara Brennan School of Healing and Roselight University.
Soul Retrieval. Shamanic healing will often involve "soul" retrieval in which the healer journeys into the subtle realms to find parts of a client's soul that have been lost, usually as the result of a trauma. The soul energy is then reintegrated into the client, usually through one of the chakras, particularly the heart or crown. See also: The Foundation for Shamanic Studies
Kabbalistic Healing. Healers can access the ancient energies diagrammed on the Tree of Life, as taught by the ancient Jewish and Christian mystics, to create profound healing. See also: A Society of Souls.
Therapeutic Touch is primarily used by nurses and is taught in nursing school. This basic practice, in which the practitioner smooths out your energy field without actually touching the physical body, can be highly soothing and supportive of healing. WOW! It's been a while!
Like pretty much every other posting i put up, it begins like this.. ha ha! Well, it IS true!! I HAVN'T been on here for a while.. I 've still been watching raw and smackdown religeously (although I must admit I did miss it a couple fridays ago, what can I say,, a girl's gotta party!)...
Was promoted at my work, and it pretty much takes it out of me! Work, on top of working out(never thought I'd ever say that.. but it's true!), makes me PASS OUT! UNFORGIVEN.. I CAN'T WAIT!

Alondra supera el millon en ventas
La cantante Alondra recibio la noticia el dia de hoy de que a una semana de lanzar su nuevo album "10" rompio la marca del millon de copias vendidas de su pasado album "Dance Hits". Alondra, quien grabo Alondra Dance Hits con algunos de los mejores productores de musica electronica en el mundo, se coloca ahora como la cantante mexicana mas destacada internacionalmente. La mayoria de ventas de su album, las cuales son digitales, se concentraron en Alemania, Austria, los paises bajos y escandinavos en en Europa, asi como en Japon, China y el sur de Asia. La disquera indico que el motivo del exito en ventas fue la integracion al formato electronico el cual nunca habia tenido un interprete en español y aunado al nuevo formato de distribucion de discos via digi-cards ha hecho una formula muy exitosa. Alondra lanza el proximo 25 de Junio el decimo album en su carrera "10" con el cual regresa al formato musical de pop y balada y concentrara su promocion en los paises de habla hispana.

Alondra lanzará disco con música pop, balada y rock
La cantante mexicana Alondra, quien desde hace 3 años se ha dedicado exclusivamente a la musica electrónica o Dance, lanzará el próximo 24 de junio su décimo álbum en su carrera, que lleva por título "10", anunció hoy su disquera en una conferencia de prensa en Cancún.
La artista también seguira con su proyecto de álbum en inglés, francés y alemán, el cual se espera para finales de este año.El sencillo en inglés que Alondra interpretó durante los 'Premios Internacionales de Música' el pasado mes de marzo, se puede escuchar en exclusiva aquí . Alondra 10 contará con diez temas en español del género pop, balada y rock, que es el décimo álbum que la artista lanza desde el comienzo de su carrera en los 80's, y el quinto desde el regreso en el 2003 de su largo retiro voluntario.

Alondra recibe el premio "Best International Dance Artist"
Alondra recibio de manos del promotor y empresario Joe Granda el premio "Best International Dance Artist" durante los Miami Dance Music Awards llevados acabo en la ciudad del sol el pasado 28 de Marzo. "Es uno de los premios mas importantes que he recibido en mi carrera, al comenzar a grabar musica "Dance" nunca me imagine llegar tan lejos en este formato que me encanta escucharlo y es por eso que lo grabo ahora" dijo Alondra. Entre los premios y nominaciones mas importantes y recientes se encuentran el Premio Billboard, la nominacion al Grammy, las dos nominaciones a los International Dance Music Awards y ahora este premio como la Mejor Artista Dance Internacional.

Alondra abrio el Winter Music Conference con presentacion
La conferencia de musica electronica o "Dance" mas importante del mundo, el "Winter Music Conference" conto con el show de Alondra durante su apertura en la discotheque "Score" de Miami Beach el 25 de Marzo del presente. Alondra quien junto con Paul Van Dyk (aqui en foto) fueron algunos de los nominados a los premios "International Dance Music Awards" celebrados alrededor de esta conferencia mundial de Musica Electronica. Alondra nominada a los 2008 IDMA
Alondra fue nuevamente nominada a los premios mundiales de música electrónica.
Alondra es la única artista mexicana en haber sido nominada dos veces a estos que son considerados los premios más importantes de música ‘Dance' o electrónica, (IDMA), y se encuentra en la misma terna que el colombiano Juanes y el boríqua Daddy Yankee. Esta es la segunda vez que Alondra es nominada al premio de ‘Mejor Canción Latina' , y en esta ocasión lo es por el tema Nunca Jamás. La ceremonia de premiación se llevará a cabo en Miami a finales de Marzo, y se tendrá la participación de Rihanna, Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto y Britney Spears, entre otros. Los mejor vestidos de Premios Lo Nuestro 2008
Varias publicaciones hispanas en Estados Unidos ya publicaron la lista de lo mejor de la moda de los Premios Lo Nuestro llevados a cabo anoche en la Ciudad de Miami.
Los artistas mexicanos Eduardo Verástegui y la cantante Alondra fueron nombrados los mejor vestidos de la noche.Eduardo vistió un traje de Ermenegildo Zegna y Alondra un vestido de la línea Masquerade de JC Penney.
Otros también mencionados por su elegancia fueron la cantante Patricia Manterola, la conductora puertorriqueña Barbara Bermudo, el diseñador Nicolas Felizola y el conductor Fernando del Rincón.Como es costumbre también hubo mención de los peor vestidos donde se destacaron los cantantes boricuas Ivy Queen y Elvis Crespo, respectivamente.
